Guilty Pleasures

I have to say I have a few "Guilty Pleasures" in my life and when fall TV sitcoms come around I get super excited. I LOVE TV! What can I say, I could lay in bed for hours and watch reruns of 90210, Soapnet, Lifetime, Reba just to name a few. The new shows I like are Keeping up with the Kardahisans, The Girls Next Door, and Rock of LOVE with Brett Micahels!
Saturday after work that is just what I did. I laid in bed, ate popsicles, read Shape magazine, Fittness magazine, watched the Discovery channel ( I do watch shows that are educational, not just TRASH , Ha Ha) However, the Discovery channel was a bunch of bearded , tree hugging guys chasing BIG FOOT around. They were claiming there were sightings of BIG FOOT. Pretty interesting, I know people you are thinking this girl is nuts, HEY maybe I am. I watch about 30 hours of tv a week. My mind is corrupted!! Then my super sweet husband fixed me dinner with candles and even cleaned up while I went and watched the rest VHI's teen countdown!!

So, Here is my tv line up for fall


Monday - Kim Kardasian and Susan Lucci are on it this year! Love me some AMC ( All My Children) too!

TUESDAY- Yes people 90210 is back. Maybe not the whole gang , but that ruthless, "Bitchy Brenda Walsh" is back to cause an uproar in Beverly Hills. I will so be there to watch her!


Wednesday- THE BEST SHOW EVER! If you haven't seen this one you have to check it out. It is about the DARLING family they have tons of money, spend money , marry / divorce, all the usual Drama. The twins are my favorite characters.


Thursday- I have to have my "McDREAMY", a little "McSTEAMY" and to see if Grey and McDreamy will ever get together.




AND FINALLY

SUNDAY - Love the girls on Wisteria Lane, I wish they were my neighbors. At least I would have excitement and girls to gossip with, HEHE!!


So, this is what I will be doing 5 days out of the week. If you need a catch up on the shows, just leave a comment and I can fill you in. Let's just hope that there is not another writers strike this fall. They really TICKED me off, greedy little Twits!!!!

Job Hunting.....

Does anyone out there feel my pain? Job hunting sucks. I have been sending out my resume since January. I have only had one call and that interview was canceled due to hiring someone within. I am bummed. I am in the land of opportunity , can't someone just throw me a bone, HAHA!! I would take a little one too! I want something new, different , and exciting. I need to FEED MY BRAIN!

My current job is good. I can do it with my eyes closed. There are some downfalls, hormonal women, CRAZY CUSTOMERS, working Saturdays too name a few. I had this customer about two Saturdays ago she was already pissed off at the world and I guess I just added fuel to the fire. Personally, I didn't like her attitude towards me. She was fussing with my asst. mgr and when she came to me she was on her cell phone talking to customer service. NOW, I don't care who you are talking to , DON'T COME TO MY WINDOW AND EXPECT MY FULL ATTENTION IF YOU ARE ON YOUR CELL PHONE...PERIOD. She didn't acknowledge me so I didn't acknowledge her. I did the transaction, paused a moment to see if she would look up, NOPE, so I went on about my business. The bank was closed at this point, she was the last customer of the day. She turned to me and said " Don't I get a receipt for this withdraw?" Now, if you had been banking somewhere for YEARS, Yes years people, you know how business is done. I said "No, Mam we do not give receipts for withdraws you have to write them down your register book." ( I was nice, seriously) Well she turned her back to me and asked the question again. I answered her. She snapped that head around with attitude and said " I wasn't talking to you." Talk about someone wanting to come across the counter, SCREAM , and cat scratch someone's eyeballs out, YEP that was me with my famous look I can give. I said" Well, you asked me a QUESTION." Her reply ' YOu answered me".

Anyway, you can see that this person was definitely confrontational. After the second smart remark, which I really can't remember , I smiled and said " Have a GREAT Weekend. " Didn't mama always say KILL 'EM WITH KINDNESS!!!

It is people like this that I have to deal with. I am sick of it. I would love to sit in a cubicle do my work, chit chat with the coworkers, eat popcorn at my desk , you know 8-5 diligent work.

So, I am consistently looking for a better place with more opportunities. Anyone , know of any here in ATL?

Deal of the Day!!

This is my deal of the day!!! I was out and about just loafing around town. I stopped in at my favorite little antique shop " A Classy Flea." I have to tell you I LOVE this place. The store is always getting things new in , therefore it makes my visits always interesting.

I was strolling along and turned the corner and there "SHE" was, the most awesome buffet piece I had ever seen. I fell in love with her immediately. Although she did have a few blemishes , she was still so beautiful. I pondered a while and decided to take a peek inside her! LOW and BEHOLD she had been damaged. Her back was almost all gone and what was left was jagged. POOR THING....

Her original price tag was $799 .. but since she was cripled it was defintely lower than that. They were asking $239, I still wasn't sure. Therefore, I left and called my friend Misty to get her opinion. Of course I text her a picture of "HER" and she viewed the picture and told me I was crazy if I didn't go back to get her.

I took a chance and waited 2 1/2 long days before I went back to the store. It was sooooo long, I even lost sleep over it Sunday night. I went back on Wednesday and went to the spot where she would have been. OH NO, " I thought, someone thought she was beautiful too and took her home." Luckily, whe was in a different spot waiting for me... Can you believe it? Neil replaced her back in a matter of one trip to Home Depot, a little spray paint, and a few screws, all in about 30 minutes. I now have this awesome piece of furniture to go in my dining room . Neil's cast of Seinfield at the Wax Museuem in St. Augustine. This guy has seen every episode like "100 times" Seriously, he makes me watch it with him sometimes... which is dreadful! But I guess he thinks repeats of 90210 is too!

Neil and I enjoying a few Corona's .... It was a good day at the beach ! We had such a great time.

We took some photogs by the beach! We got a little dressed up this night!

Neil and I acting goofy down by the boardwalk. We played Arcade games , especially Skee BALL. I know some of you have to remember that game. It is one of my favorites!

AND this one, the typical tourist picture!!! You have to stop at a the state sign and take pictures!

Overall, we had a great time. We visited Ponce Inlet lighthouse and a light house in St. Augustine. I would post pictures, but they are side ways. So if any savy computer guroos can tell me how to flip the pictures I would be happy to show you all the awesome lighthouses! We spent one day in St. Augustine, all I can say is that it was way toooooooo HOT to be loafing around a Florida city.... you needed to be at the beach!!
